This Privacy Policy explains how Wall Chess ("Wall Chess", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, transfers, and deletes information when you use the Wall Chess Android application, related backend services, multiplayer arena, puzzle features, in-app purchase features, subscription features, support channels, and account deletion tools.

Wall Chess is made available worldwide through Google Play. By using the app, you acknowledge that your information may be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Who We Are

Wall Chess is operated by the app operator located in India. Our primary database instances are located in Finland.

3. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through:

• the Wall Chess Android app;
• user account registration and login;
• multiplayer gameplay, puzzles, ratings, coins, and related in-app features;

• our backend systems, operations, backups, and account deletion processes.

4. Information We Collect

4.1 Information You Provide When Creating an Account

When you create a Wall Chess account, we collect:

• email address;
• first name;
• last name;
• country; and
• password.

Your password is hashed before storage. We do not intend to store your password in plain text.

Your first name, last name, and country are self-declared fields and may be any values entered by you. We do not guarantee or verify that these values are accurate.

4.2 Permanent One-Way Hash of Email Address

When an account is created, a one-way, non-reversible hash of the email address is created and retained in our database on a permanent basis. This is used only to help determine whether the same email address has been used previously for account creation and to prevent repeated free registration coin awards intended only for first-time users.

4.3 Gameplay and Account Data

We may process account and gameplay-related information such as:

• coins and coin balances;
• ratings and rank-related data;
• match or game records;
• moves and gameplay history;
• puzzle progress and related usage information; and
• other data necessary for the normal operation of the app.

4.4 Purchase and Subscription Data

Wall Chess offers in-app purchases and subscriptions through Google Play only. When you make a purchase or subscription, our backend may process purchase-related data needed to validate the transaction and credit purchased coins or apply subscription benefits such as monthly rewarded coins or advertisement removal.

Purchase validation and transactional data may be retained for up to 90 days for safety, fraud prevention, reconciliation, and in case of legal disputes.

If you contact us through the in-app support page or by email, we may process the information you submit in your message, including your email address and any details you choose to provide.

5. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

• to create and manage your Wall Chess account;
• to authenticate users and keep accounts secure;
• to enable multiplayer gameplay, puzzles, ratings, and coin-based features;
• to validate Google Play purchases and credit coins or subscription benefits after backend verification;
• to send necessary service emails, such as password change verification, payment completion emails, and account-related notices;
• to respond to support requests and complaints;
• to operate, maintain, back up, improve, and manage the software and backend infrastructure;
• to prevent abuse, fraud, duplicate first-time reward claims, and unauthorized activity; and
• to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms, policies, and legitimate operational needs.

6. Email Use and Operational Messages

Your email address, first name, and last name may be used for authentication and for purposes directly related to the proper operation of Wall Chess, including account verification, password change verification, password reset or recovery processes, payment completion emails, and other service-related communications.

We use your email address only for Wall Chess operational purposes and support-related communication. We do not use it for unrelated marketing.

To send such operational emails, Wall Chess may use email functionality through our backend software, including SMTP-based email sending or similar server-side mechanisms necessary to deliver required messages.

7. Advertising and Third-Party Processing

7.1 Google AdMob

Wall Chess displays advertisements through Google AdMob.

We do not intentionally share the personal information you manually enter into the app, such as your first name, last name, country, or email address, with Google AdMob through app form fields for our own marketing purposes.

However, Google AdMob and related Google services may process certain data through their own SDKs, systems, or policies in connection with ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Such processing is governed by Google's own policies and practices.

7.2 Google Play Billing

All in-app purchases and subscriptions in Wall Chess are processed through Google Play. Our backend validates eligible purchase data before granting purchased coins, subscription rewards, or advertisement removal.

7.3 No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

8. International Access and Data Transfers

Wall Chess is available to users worldwide. Because of this, your information may be processed across borders.

Our database instances are located in Finland. The operator of the app is located in India and may need to access, transfer, download, review, and modify certain user information as reasonably necessary for backup, software operations, maintenance, support, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, management, and service continuity.

By using Wall Chess, you acknowledge that your information may be stored or processed in countries that may have data protection laws different from those in your country of residence.

9. Data Retention

We retain data for different periods depending on the type of information and purpose:

• Account information is generally retained while your account remains active.
• Account-based information such as first name, last name, country, coins, ratings, and similar account-linked information is deleted immediately when you delete your account through the in-app account deletion option, subject to limited exceptions described below.
• Gameplay-created data such as game records, moves, and similar gameplay history is deleted within 24 hours after in-app account deletion.
• External deletion requests submitted through our external account deletion channel are normally completed within 5 to 7 working days after we confirm the request with the user by email.
• Purchase validation and transactional data may be retained for up to 90 days for safety, reconciliation, fraud prevention, and legal dispute purposes.
• Permanent hashed email data is retained indefinitely as a one-way hash to help identify repeat account creation attempts with the same email address and to prevent repeated first-time reward claims.

Where required, we may retain limited information for legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, enforcement of our policies, or security purposes.

10. Account Deletion

Wall Chess provides an in-app option for users to delete their account.

Please note that a one-way hash of your email address may continue to be retained after account deletion to prevent abuse of first-time registration rewards and to maintain account integrity controls.

11. Children's Privacy

Wall Chess is intended for users aged 13 and older. The app does not include adult content and is not intended to contain bad language.

If a person under the age of 13 uses Wall Chess, parental or guardian guidance is advised, and such use should occur only where permitted by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, operational practices, or third-party integrations. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
